Marty took the head to his pal Jeff Castle of Castle Engines in Spokane, where he rebuilt it with one new valve. Perhaps we should have had the other head rebuilt at the same time, but Marty didn’t think it was worthwhile.. if your goona do that, where do you stop? At this time, the goal is just to get it back on the road. Anyway, Everything went back together without any troubles and it runs once again! However there is a ‘ticking lifter that will need to be dealt with.

We took it for a test drive, and had our first break down! A minor one though, which was simply the ignition coil wire that had come lose from the distributor cap.
